Also Fareach is coming together, I have finished the sketches of the map and have started making the proper map (to scale and has all the streets and houses on it!), I have been at it for about 4 hours now and I have almost finished half of the merchant district.

I suppose he could be Ghost, but that would be more suited to undead creatures, I think. Hm, it's hard thinking of everyone else's....

Knifey's was easy because I just had to combine psychic/his psionics with fighting/his tank-ness. Hmmmm....

I don't think Tosscobble could be dark/fire, as fire doesn't seem all that closely related to him. Fighting makes some sense, but he's not much of a tank either. Dark makes perfect sense, and I'm sure we can figure out a secondary type for him in time (and we could just leave it as fighting, in the end.)

Just joined now. The new setting sounds pretty awesome. There's a few things I need to sort out with you William in terms of equipment (especially magical items), if you are free later this week.

As for pokemon/dnd, I think that Tosscobble would have to be dark(rogue/thief)-fire(because fire is awesome) or dark/fighting. Something like that.

That's good. Knifey doesn't have to worry too much then. Not that he hasn't wandered into places that are less accustomed to travellers, and even lest accustomed to Xephs in his life.

Still, it will be good for him to hang around in a place that is cool with him being there. Just so long as he's kept out a trouble. Ahaha. Maybe Ivelliöhn (Knifey's -long- nickname for Jöhn) would just tug on his plait to keep him from doing anything that would get him into too much trouble. Not too much restraint though, as Knifey is curious and will enjoy exploring Fareach -and offering help to whoever wants to accept it-.

Don't worry the denizens of Fareach are well acquainted with adventurers, they even have an in (Fortunes Bosom) which caters for this unique class in society.

I hope everyone else joins up soon, otherwise there will just be many conversations just between William and myself -and, uh, Luke Baily (is that Calvin?).

Anyway, just read the stuff about Fareach, and it's looking pretty good. You've really put a lot of effort into this, and I appreciate that. When you were talking about the stubbornness of the people, I hadn't realised it was because of all the stuff they had to deal with -I thought they were just stubborn folk in general, not because it was just the sort of environment they were in-. Still, these are definitely hardy folk, but hopefully not unreasonable. I suppose they'd have a reason to be distrustful of strangers -but hopefully they won't mind the strange, scarred Xeph too much-.
Pleased to see some Ilmater worship. At least that aligns with Knifey's religious beliefs, or part of them (like I've mentioned he also worships the exarch Lliira, because it wouldn't be Knifey if one of his 'gods' wasn't fun).
Sadly, Knifey can't really work in any of the guilds -doesn't fit with him logically-, but I'm sure some of the others might be able to find a home for themselves in one.
On the other hand, I hope Knifey isn't put in a situation where he has to choose between the law and his conscience. Otherwise, he's probably going to end up with the Watch on his tail, and the Thief-Takers in his shadow. Ahahaha.
Man, I am looking forward to the new campaign, though I have greatly enjoyed our current one as well! Still, bring on the Forgotten Realms!

(On a completely random note, I was combining DnD and Pokemon, and figured that Knifey would be a psychic/fighting type. The only three actual psychic/fighting Pokemon are Gallade, Meditite, and Medicham, so it's a sparsely used type combination, yet it fits so well with the Soulknife.)

Here is a brief history/description of Fareach just to get you interested

Fareach is a small town that has only been recently rebuilt after it was destroyed by a small army of evil humanoids. Fareach’s isolation from the two nearest powers Luskan and Mirabar, and the general lack of anything that these cities require, has allowed Fareach to be mostly autonomous. This comes with the disadvantage of there not being a great power to protect them. But the peoples of far reach a stubborn and each time there city and its surrounding villages are burned to the ground, the people of Fareach defiantly rebuild it. Fareach’s constant exposure to danger has toughened its people, with a larger army than for a town of its size. Fareach also lies on a somewhat prosperous (when the roads are clear) trade route, as it is a required stop between the last dwarf hold on this side of the Mithral Mountains, as well as being on the trade route from the remaining elves that live in lurk wood (once known as the young wood), making the city quite prosperous in the few times of peace. The official deities of the city are Lathander and Kelemvo, but there is a strong following of Helm and Ilmater. The city of Fareach is run by an elected council consisting of 50 citizens who are elected yearly and 10 elders who hold their positions for the rest of their lives. The Elders get to decide who the nominees for the elected offices are, but the elected members of council elect the members of the elders, both parties vote together on legislation, which can be brought before the council by any members all votes must have two-thirds majority before they are enacted. The Town holds a Society of Mages, most of whom are elves that joined the residents of Fareach after the destruction of their homes in Young wood, but includes several human mages as well, many are skilled in the alchemical and crafting arts. The peace in the city is kept by a combination of the City watch, who also doubles for the army of Fareach, and the Thief-takers guild, a group of mercenaries and bounty hunters that track down and capture or kill law-breaker, if the price is right. Where there is prosperity, even limited, there are those of quick wit and quicker fingers who attempt to find a living for themselves by less than legal ways, despite the constant attention of the thief-takers and the watch, a guild of thieves have set up in Fareach, and don’t look like they will be removed any time soon.
